UltraMAT Participation in the GRAPHOSITE Project Open Day 2019 – 20 November 2019

Members from the UltraMAT project were invited to participate in the GRAPHOSITE Project Open Day Workshop held at Robinson College, Cambridge on the 20 November 2019. The workshop was organised by Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology (Partner in both projects). This workshop offered a great opportunity to network and discuss the UltraMAT project exploitation opportunities with potential end-users, to attract interest from industrial partners to the project and to promote the forthcoming UltraMAT Open Day to be held in January 2020. Companies attending the meeting included Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, BT, Schlumberger, Prysmian, MBDA, ARUP, among others. InnoTecUK (Partner Coordinator) had an exhibition stand and gave a presentation about the UltraMAT project.

UltraMAT participation at the nanoMAT3D meeting – Cambridge

Members from the UltraMAT project were invited to participate at the Nanomaterials for 3D Printing 2019 Workshop (nanoMAT3D). This workshop was linked with activities related to development of use of nanomaterials and metal composites for electrically conductive applications, including nano-carbon materials (UltraWire). This event took place on the 10th and 11th July 2019 at Wolfson College, Cambridge with a dinner at Hotel Hilton Cambridge City Centre.

The workshop was organised by Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd, one of the UltraMAT partners who is in charge of Exploitation and Dissemination. The aim of this workshop was to support commercialisation of use of nanomaterials in development of polymer and metal based composite technologies for additive manufacturing.

The UltraMAT project had an exhibition desk. Mr Ahmed Tayeb from Brunel Innovation Centre – BIC (UltraMAT partner) was present at the meeting and on hand to provide information to many participants who were interested in learning more about the project. This was a great opportunity as well to get more interest in the forthcoming Open Day.
